    Question

I have a 94 Civic with 94 GSR Swap. At high (about 6000 and up) RPM's the tach starts bouncing around. It doesn't seem to cause any problems with the car though. I have a MSD ignition and external coil. I had an autometer tach that also did the same thing, but now I swaped in a GSR gauge cluster and itstill does the same thing. Any ideas on what it is?

    Kenneth,

Your MSD is interfering with the proper current to feed the stock tach... go to your local speed shop and buy a tach signal amplifier (I think it is about $30)... it is a two wire hook-up and you will be back to normal.
